On Jesus' last night of freedom before his arrest, he spends his time in prayer. In the words of John 17, we see Jesus' deep concern for the ongoing mission of bringing Glory to God on Earth. We have an important role to play in that mission.
John records the miraculous signs of Jesus and shows us more about who he is. In turning the Water to Wine, Jesus is revealed through several unique points of view - which also tell us something of ourselves in the process.
