8. Jesus is Buried

March 29, 2024 • John 19:38–42

Jesus is Buried. John 19:38-42 Contemplate the solemnity of Jesus' burial and the hope of His resurrection.  - Pray for the faith to trust in God's plan, even in the midst of darkness and uncertainty. Ask for the grace to live with hope and anticipation of the resurrection, knowing that Jesus has conquered death once and for all. - Pray for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones, that they may find comfort and assurance in the promise of eternal life through Christ.

7. Jesus is Crucified and Dies

March 29, 2024 • John 19:28–37

A three-hour darkness descends upon the land: “When the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.” The earth quakes, the temple curtain is torn, and Jesus thirsts. John 19:28-37 Reflect on the profound mystery of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, which brings salvation and redemption to all humanity.  - Pray for a deeper appreciation of the significance of Christ's death and resurrection in your own life. - Pray for those who have yet to encounter the truth of Jesus' saving grace, that they may come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. Ask for opportunities to share the hope of the Gospel with others and to bear witness to Christ's victory over sin and death.

6. Soldiers Divide Jesus' Clothes

March 29, 2024 • John 19:23–27

The soldiers divide Jesus’s clothing. John 19:23-27 Contemplate Jesus' forgiveness and compassion towards those who crucified Him.  - Pray for the grace to forgive those who have wronged you, and for reconciliation in relationships marked by division or conflict. - Pray for unity and love among believers, as demonstrated by Jesus' care for His mother and the disciple whom He loved. Ask for the grace to love others as Jesus loves us, regardless of differences or disagreements.
