TOGETHER GROUP QUESTIONS
Read Ephesians 4:13. What is God’s Word saying to you in this verse? What is God’s heart for His people? Try to pick apart each phrase.

Read 1 Cor. 15:1-4. What would you say are the “essentials” of the Christian faith? (List the things you see in this passage, AS WELL AS any other non-negotiables of Christianity)

In Philippians 3:8-16, Paul is passionately sharing how close and intimate He desires to be to Christ. Discuss several ways that we can pursue intimacy with Christ. (***Bonus points for any groups that takes a little extra time and has each person write down the top 5 specific ways that they pursue and get to know Jesus better… and then go around the group and have each person share).

Our passage calls us to spiritual maturity. What are a few areas that Christians are immature and need to grow in? How would God call us to address those things?

What is one way this week that you can become more Christ-like?

TOGETHER GROUP QUESTIONS As a review of the whole passage, read Ephesians 6:10-17. What is God’s Word saying to you in this passage? What have you learned? What sticks out? What has helped you? Discuss the sword of the Spirit. Why is this such a critical piece in the armor of God? What does it do for you? What does it protect you from? How is it an offensive weapon? Name one situation/ trial you are going through currently in life right now, and discuss HOW you can apply the Word of God to that situation (Ps. 119:105). Have the group share specific Bible verses that can be applied to each person’s circumstances. Read Matthew 4:1-11. Break down the 3 temptations Jesus faced, and how they are similar to things we face on a daily basis. Discuss how Jesus responded to each temptation. How is the Sword of the Spirit (God’s Word) useful to you? (There’s dozens and dozens of answers- have each person in the group share at least one!) As we have gone through each of the 6 pieces in the armor of God (belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the Gospel of peace, helmet of salvation, shield of faith, and sword of the Spirit)… have each group member pick one of those items that they would like prayer for in this upcoming season.
