No Condemnation | Episode 1 | The Law

Romans 8:1 and Galatians 3:13 speak of God's incredible love and grace. Romans 8:1 '"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Jesus condemned sin in his flesh so that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us. Similarly, Galatians 3:13 reveals, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us." Jesus bore our sins and took on the punishment we deserved, making us righteous before God. There is a difference between God's correction and His wrath. While God does correct His children, it is out of love and not anger or wrath. By understanding the depth of Christ's sacrifice and the truth that God is not condemning us, believers can overcome other sources of condemnation, whether from the enemy or self-inflicted. 1 John 4:17-18 emphasizes the perfection of love, stating that it allows us to be bold in the day of judgment because we are like Him in this world. The passage also highlights that there is no fear in love, as perfect love drives out fear. A deeper revelation of God's love and your identity in Christ will free you from condemnation.

In the second episode of "No Condemnation," Duane teaches about God's love and forgiveness, emphasizing that there is no condemnation for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. He explores the profound implications of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and how it frees believers from sin and punishment. Romans 8:1-4 explains that those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord are no longer under condemnation. God is not punishing believers because He poured out His wrath on Jesus at the cross. This sacrifice fulfilled the law's righteous requirements that we could never meet on our own. The prophetic description in Isaiah 53 describes Jesus' suffering and sacrifice, highlighting how Jesus bore our griefs, carried our sorrows, and was wounded for our transgressions. This powerful passage of scripture underscores the depth of God's love and the completeness of our redemption through Christ. God is not the source of our troubles or sorrows, but rather the one who has provided healing and restoration, which challenges the common misconceptions about God's character. God is a loving Father rather than an angry judge. In Isaiah 54:7-9, God promises His everlasting kindness and mercy. The rainbow symbolizes God's promise never to flood the earth again and shows His mercy and loving-kindness. Every time you see the rainbow, you should think of God.

No Condemnation | Episode 3 | Free

In the third episode of "No Condemnation," Duane teaches the "good news" of Jesus. According to Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Believers are free from God's wrath and judgment. All the punishments and curses of the old covenant law were placed on Jesus at the cross. By accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are set free from the condemnation that was once due to you. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death, as mentioned in Romans 8:2, empowering us with hope and a new life. Galatians 3:13 states Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law, saying, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us." Jesus bore our curses so we can live free from fear and punishment. God's covenant of peace with His people was prophesied in Isaiah 54:10. Reject the false belief that God is out to punish you and embrace the truth that He loves you and desires to be in a close relationship with you. By focusing on God's grace and love, you can move forward with confidence and joy.

In the fifth episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff teaches that Christians face four main sources of condemnation. God is not the source of condemnation for believers; as stated in Romans 8:1-2, there are sources we must learn to recognize and overcome. The sources of condemnation are the devil, our own hearts, others, and the law. In Revelation 12:10-11, the devil is described as our accuser. Satan uses accusation, guilt, and shame to try to silence and paralyze Christians. We can overcome these accusations by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, and not loving our lives unto death. Understanding our God-given authority as believers is crucial. It allows us to rebuke the devil and exercise the power to bind and loose on earth, as mentioned in Matthew 18:18. We are not meant to be passive recipients of God's grace but active participants in His plan. By standing firm in our faith, speaking the truth in love, and refusing to be silenced by the enemy's accusations, we can exercise our spiritual authority, overcome condemnation, and make a difference.

In the seventh episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff teaches how our own hearts can be a source of condemnation. While God doesn't condemn us, we often struggle with feelings of unworthiness and guilt. 1 John 3:18-22 reveals how our hearts can condemn or give us confidence before God. Living in love and truth assures our hearts, but sin can defile our conscience and lead to self-condemnation. Hebrews 9:14 speaks about how the blood of Christ cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Unlike the old covenant sacrifices, which provided only temporary relief, Christ's sacrifice offers eternal redemption and the ability to purge our conscience continually. Repentance isn't about earning God's love or forgiveness but cleansing our conscience and aligning our hearts with God's truth. God is greater than our hearts and knows all things (1 John 3:20). Even when our hearts condemn us, we can trust in God's love, forgiveness, and acceptance, allowing us to move forward in our faith with confidence.

In the eighth episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff focuses on the third source of condemnation: others. While God doesn't condemn us, we often face condemnation from people around us, including family, friends, coworkers, and even the media. 2 Corinthians 7:2-3 reveals how Paul dealt with condemnation. Paul urged the church to open their hearts to him, stating that he had not wronged anyone and only had love for them. Even though others might try to condemn us, we must remain steadfast in our faith and committed to love, just as Paul did. Romans 8:31-34 reminds believers that no one can successfully stand against us if God is for us. Therefore, we shouldn't let others' condemnation affect our relationship with Him. Proverbs 17:15 reminds us that it is an abomination to condemn the just. Isaiah 54:17 proclaims that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Other people's words can be like weapons aiming to condemn us. But with God's righteousness on our side, we can counter these attacks through faith and condemnation of wrongful accusations. Live boldly and righteously, regardless of the condemnation from the world.

No Condemnation | Episode 9 | The Law

In the ninth and final episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff concludes his series by addressing the fourth source of condemnation: the law. Many Christians unknowingly subject themselves to guilt and condemnation by trying to serve God under Old Testament law rather than New Testament grace. In 2 Corinthians 3:7-9, Paul compares the old and new covenants. The Old Testament law, while glorious, was a "ministry of death" and "ministry of condemnation." In contrast, the New Testament is a "ministry of the Spirit" and "ministry of righteousness," far exceeding the old in glory. The purpose of the law was not to make people righteous or reveal God's nature. Instead, as Romans 3:19-20 states, the law was given to make everyone guilty before God and bring knowledge of sin. Once a person accepts Christ, they no longer live under the law. Romans 6:14 says, "Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."
