Seeking God’s Honor

Seeking God’s Honor | Part 1

August 14, 2008 • Duane Sheriff

In our world today, many of us are driven in our jobs and daily pursuits by the desire to receive honor and recognition. Yet, even when successful, fulfillment doesn’t seem to satisfy. The solution is simple: “How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?” (John 5:44 KJV) Our answers do not lie in the accolades of man, but of God. We can also state that we must seek our honor vertically and not horizontally. Peer pressure drives adults differently, but just as strongly as it does our teens. We must all look for our value and worth in relationship with Jesus Christ.
