And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; (Colossians 1:18-19, KJV) In Greek, the word “preeminence” means, “to be first (in rank or influence.)” Paul tells us, about Jesus, “He’s number one.” He is the head of His church and we are the body. He should be number one in our lives. This series will lead and guide us toward putting Jesus in that very position in our lives, number one.
