The "fear of the Lord" does not mean being afraid of God. Instead, it refers to a wholesome fear - a deep respect and love for God that stems from a desire to please Him and reverence Him. Duane teaches that worship is a way to express this fear, drawing us closer to God and dispelling our fears. Through worship, we can lay down our fears and lift up our hearts in pure devotion to God, who is our protector, provider, and source of strength.
