ANOINTED FOR GOOD WORKS

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge. Some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness.

May God’s grace be with you all. 1 Timothy 6v18-21

We are not saved by our good works, no we are saved by the Precious blood of Jesus Christ.

However, as we become born again, the Holy Spirit comes and lives in us and teaches us every single day how we should be, towards ourselves and towards others. We never stay the same, the things we used to do, the desire for them goes and the desire to do good overwhelms our heart. We find ourselves doing good to others. Where we were selfish, we now find ourselves sharing and caring for others. This is the good works. This is not what attracts the attention of God, this is a revelation to ourselves of the goodness of God at work in our lives.

You do not need anyone to tell you to do good works, the entrance of the word in your life brings light. This light illuminates the changes that need to be made. You commit this to the Lord and slowly the Holy Spirit begins his work in you. There is noticeable changes that start to take place in your life. You notice people around you who are in need of help. Maybe you were a person who never reached out to others before, but you find yourself wanting to help. That is the work of the Holy Spirit through the word and your faith, working miracles for yourself and others. We all see the changes in you, thank you for yielding, because of you many lives are changed.

CONFESSION/PRAYER

The Holy Spirit is working in me to change me and renew me, day by day.

I am a product of the changing power of God. I find myself doing good works again and again. God is using me to change the lives of others. I have not been saved by my good works, but rather good works have come out of me through the power of the Holy Spirit.

ANOINTED FOR A NEW SEASON

On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. Acts 2v1 This day in our Calender comes every 4 years. It is not a common occurrence. Well, the day of Pentecost was not an ordinary day in the lives of God’s people. It was a day of empowerment. A day when a new heavenly language was given to us. A day when this language gave us power to speak in line with the will of God and know that he hears us. When the people built the tower of Babel was built, God caused everyone to speak another language. There was unity with those people of that land that caused them to build the tower of Babel hoping to reach God. Now on this day of Pentecost, everyone was in unity and one accord and God restored a language that was now common to every believer. With this language we are in union with God and we speak words that God alone understands. What power, what a privilege we have been given as sons of God. When we come to God with this language, the holy spirit prays on our behalf in accordance with the will of God and God hears and answers. We may not understand what we are saying, but God does, this new language brings in a new season, empowers us to live successfully and victoriously in this new season. There is a suddenly in our lives as we are in union with God. CONFESSION/PRAYER This is a new day, a new season of power and victory. There are open doors of opportunity and I am empowered by God to walk through those doors. The anointing in me is enough to strengthen me and give me power to overcome every challenge. There is a suddenly taking place in my life today, whatever I need is provided for by God as I speak my heavenly language. It is indeed a new day and a new season.

POWER FOR VICTORY

In Caesarea there lived a Roman army officer named Cornelius, who was a captain of the Italian Regiment. He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God. One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said. Acts 10v1 Cornelius was a Roman army officer, a man who was not in covenant with God. However, he had a heart which was God fearing. It was not his works that got him saved, no, The Lord got Peter to go to his home to minister the gospel to him and his family. He was then saved and empowered for victory. Cornelius was a God fearing man who had the power of influence over his own household and those who were under his command. Even though he had not been saved, he was devout man, however this was not enough for him to enter the kingdom of God. He needed the gospel preached to him, he needed to accept Jesus Christ as his personal saviour and then he entered into the life of Salvation. In the case of Cornelius not only he was saved but his whole household. Take note, once the power of God came into his life, he began to speak in tongues, him and his whole household. Peter was amazed that this man who was without a covenant with God, could be filled with the holy Spirit. Cornelius needed this power over and above the good works he was doing to be empowered for victory and good success. We too need this power of God to have victory and good success in our lives. I see you walking in victory and good success. CONFESSION/PRAYER I am empowered with the power of the holy spirit to live this good life God has called me to. I am empowered for victory and good success. Success is my portion now.

WHAT IS THE ANOINTING?

He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14v17 The anointing abides in us, by the power of the Holy Spirit, this anointing lives in us and operates in our lives. It changes us from normal ordinary people into God people, a new creation being. The power changes us. The anointing is the God power residing in us. The anointing destroys yokes, the anointing lifts burdens. The anointing works in our hearts to change us and refine us. When this working on the inside begins to intensify, slowly there is a manifestation in our lives. People begin to see the change on the inside which is now working on the outside, when we speak, something happens, when we lay hands on the sick, they begin to recover. We are able to speak a word in season to the weary. The peace of God fills our heart. Fear begins to flee and we get bold and confident day by day. Make a demand on this anointing that lives on the inside of you. Our lives become rich because of the anointing that abides in us. We are enriched by this anointing, we are change agents because of the anointing. Our environment is changed when we come in, by the power of God working through us. A word out of our mouths, filled with the anointing can change situations and meet needs. It is the supernatural power of God at work in a man/woman. CONFESSION/PRAYER The anointing is the power of God at work in me. This is anointing worked in Jesus and it is now working in me. I am a supernatural being experiencing the power of God to change my world. Holy Spirit come and fill me so I can do what you have called me to do.
