In the midst of much hardship, the apostle Paul encourages the beloved Thessalonian church—and himself—with the hope of Christ's return.

In the conclusion to his epistle, Paul gives a compendium of exhortations for how the church should live together according to the Gospel.

Paul exhorts Christians to not be surprised at the Day of the Lord, but to eagerly wait and encourage one another with the hope of our salvation.

In the face of grief and death, Paul encourages the church with the hope that comes from a right understanding of Christ's glorious return.
