In the conclusion to his epistle, Paul gives a compendium of exhortations for how the church should live together according to the Gospel.

Paul exhorts Christians to not be surprised at the Day of the Lord, but to eagerly wait and encourage one another with the hope of our salvation.

In the face of grief and death, Paul encourages the church with the hope that comes from a right understanding of Christ's glorious return.

Paul exhorts the Thessalonians to grow in their already remarkable love for one another, particularly with regard to their work.
