On one level our encounters with Christ are different and unique to our circumstances. But on another level our encounters with Christ take us to the same place, the same address... they take us to the Cross. They take us to a Desperate Heart. Here's what a desperate heart says, "Jesus, all I want... is all you are."
And at the end of the day, Encountering Jesus will lead us to say, "Your will, your way.”
Storm Stories

Everyone has a story to tell and everyone has a storm story as well to tell.
The disciples' extreme storm experience on Lake Galilee found them panicked, bailing water and wondering if Jesus really cared, as he slept on a cushion in the boat. How do you react in the middle of your storm experiences? Do you seek to control the situation? Do you wish you knew how it would all turn out? The disciples did, but Jesus showed them that they would not perish and the safest place in a storm was in the boat with Jesus.

When Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's go to the other side of the Lake", it was intentional and with purpose. It was to have an encounter with a man who desperately needed to be healed. That encounter helps reveal what enslaves a person and the connection to understanding your own heart.
