Study on Colossians - WK7

Women's Bible Study

January 10, 2024 • Janna Pinter • Colossians 3:1–17

As we continue in Colossians, we will see Paul once again pointing to a walk that will set the church in Colossae apart from the Roman culture in which they live. In other words, while they live IN the world, they are not to be OF the world. In the text we will study tonight, Paul gives specific instructions to the family as well as for the work place. These instructions are hemmed in by these two verses which address motive and goal.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him Col 3:17

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Col 3:23

The Lord calls us to a higher standard, His standard. But, He also equips us to press on toward that goal.
