These passages examine the miraculous work of God in bringing His people across the Jordan. This Living God who went before them goes before us, and just as they built an altar to remember so should we remember and testify to the faithful work of God in our lives.

In our closing week of our study of Joshua we will see Joshua continue to call the people of Israel to remember the faithfulness of Yahweh and for that to be their motivation for keeping His commands. He will charge them to choose whom they will serve and He will point to the true and better Joshua..Jesus Christ.

Joshua: Week 16

In these closing chapters of Joshua we see the second and third speeches Joshua gives to the leaders of Israel and to the entire nation together. We see a familiar passage of scripture in the charge, “Choose you this day whom you will serve!” but when considered in context we see the faithfulness of God recounted and the reasonable choice made, but we also see the necessary help of the better Joshua, Jesus Christ in helping us do what we say we will do.

Joshua: Week 15

In this last section of the book, Joshua will address the people of Israel in three speeches broken down into three chapters. He will recount the faithfulness of God to his people and call the Israelites to faithfulness and obedience to God.
