"Forgiving Your Enemies"

Letting Go of the Hurt

Jesus's grace toward his enemies was distinctly marked. He forgave those who had just nailed him to the cross. He preached about loving our enemies and praying for those who hurt us.

This does not mean we are to be a passive person or a doormat. Instead, we are to be a doorway of grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

You deserve to be free from your suffering from anyone that has hurt you.

"True Rest"

From the beginning, God has given us a pattern of how to do life. Man was intended to work six days and rest for one day. What does this mean for us? -We are to work hard at all we do. Christians should be marked by the excellence of our work. Laziness has no place in our lives. -We are to work from our rest, not work so we can rest. Christians are not called to be workaholics. We must enjoy the blessings of God by taking a true break from work to worship. Rest means we enjoy God. We lean into His goodness and take delight in all that He has done for us. In our fast-paced, loud world, this means we must unplug and just be with Him. True rest can happen if we walk in the pattern God laid for us.

"The Authority of Scripture"

Knowing scripture and doing scripture are two separate things. Our head knowledge must move to our heart, which then moves our hands and feet. Our willingness to be open to this hinges upon whether or not we believe God's word to be authoritative in our lives. God's authority is love. It is foundational in His desire for us to have salvation, forgiveness, and a life of meaning.
