Because God is Good | We Are Secure

Because God Is Good

July 9, 2023 • Pastor Dave Koop • Colossians 2:8–10, Hebrews 11:6, Deuteronomy 8:11–14, Philemon 5–6

In an ever-changing world filled with challenges, we can walk secure in who, and whose we are, because of God’s unwavering goodness to us.

Insecurity is something we all struggle with to some degree. Our feelings of insecurity are related to our sense of identity, how we see ourselves, how we think others see us and most importantly how we see God.

Because God Is Good | A Nation Can Heal

July 2, 2023 • Pastor Dave Koop • James 4:6–10, 1 Peter 4:14–17, Matthew 18:18–20, 2 Chronicles 7:14, John 13:34–35

We live in a time when Canada is facing some serious challenges and uncertainties. In order to bring healing to our land it is imperative that we focus on the goodness of God and His light rather than the darkness we see around us. The choice is ours; His goodness is not forced on us but God has promised that IF we turn our hearts to Him, He will heal our land. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV

Because God Is Good | You Can Dream Again

August 20, 2023 • Pastor Cheryl Koop • 1 Samuel 8:1–21, 1 Samuel 11:15, 1 Samuel 15:10–11, Romans 12:2

Introduction: Saul was a man who was chosen by God to be king over Israel. Saul’s journey is a sobering reminder of how even those who are anointed for a specific calling can veer off course due to disobedience, insecurity, and jealousy. Saul’s actions had a huge impact on Samuel and the nation of Israel but God had not forgotten them. He would raise up King David, they could dream again and certainly the “best was yet to come”.
