We live in a time when Canada is facing some serious challenges and uncertainties. In order to bring healing to our land it is imperative that we focus on the goodness of God and His light rather than the darkness we see around us. The choice is ours; His goodness is not forced on us but God has promised that IF we turn our hearts to Him, He will heal our land.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV

The book of Jeremiah carries a broader message about divine purpose, predestination, and the idea that God has a plan for each of us, even before we were born! We each have unique talents and abilities, and it’s up to us to discover and fulfill the calling God has for our lives!
Because God Is Good | You Can Dream Again
August 20, 2023 • Pastor Cheryl Koop • 1 Samuel 8:1–21, 1 Samuel 11:15, 1 Samuel 15:10–11, Romans 12:2
Introduction: Saul was a man who was chosen by God to be king over Israel. Saul’s journey is a sobering reminder of how even those who are anointed for a specific calling can veer off course due to disobedience, insecurity, and jealousy. Saul’s actions had a huge impact on Samuel and the nation of Israel but God had not forgotten them. He would raise up King David, they could dream again and certainly the “best was yet to come”.

Because God is Good | Family Is Good
August 6, 2023 • Pastor Dave Koop • Ephesians 6:1–3, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Psalm 127:1–2, Ephesians 5:22–33
In a world that bombards us with messages that challenge the value and integrity of family relationships, we must not neglect the importance of nurturing healthy family dynamics and remind ourselves that God’s design for family is rooted in His goodness.
Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.– Psalm 127:1,2 NLT

As recipients of God’s goodness, we are now sent by Jesus to share with others the Good News (the Gospel) in word and in deed.
And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” – Romans 10:15 NLT

In an ever-changing world filled with challenges, we can walk secure in who, and whose we are, because of God’s unwavering goodness to us.
Insecurity is something we all struggle with to some degree. Our feelings of insecurity are related to our sense of identity, how we see ourselves, how we think others see us and most importantly how we see God.
