FROM NEW SERIES | JESUS & WE

…one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.(Luke 7:36 NIV)
A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume.(Luke 7:37 NIV)

As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on the.(Luke 7:38 NIV)

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”(Luke 7:39 NIV)

Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.(Luke 7:44 NIV)

You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.(Luke 7:45 NIV)

You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.(Luke 7:46 NIV)
Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”(Luke 7:47 NIV)

Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” (Luke 7:48 NIV)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.(Matthew 11:28 NIV)

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.(Matthew 11:29 NIV)
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29 NIV)

And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting [fn]money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. (Mark 12:41 NASB) A poor widow came and put in two [fn]small copper coins, which amount to a cent. (Mark 12:42 NASB) Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; (Mark 12:43 NASB) or they all put in out of their [fn]surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, [fn]all she had to live on.” (Mark 12:44 NASB) A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”(2 Kings 4:1 NKJV) So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”(2 Kings 4:2 NKJV) Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few.(2 Kings 4:3 NKJV) “And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” (2 Kings 4:4 NKJV) So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out.(2 Kings 4:5 NKJV) Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased.(2 Kings 4:6 NKJV) Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil **and pay your debt; and you and **your sons live on the rest.”(2 Kings 4:7 NKJV) Your Desperate Cry for Help to God Removes The Cause of Your Distress
