..Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.(Acts 10:34 NKJV) “But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.(Acts 10:35 NKJV) “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about** doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil**, for God was with Him.(Acts 10:38 NKJV) While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.(Acts 10:44 NKJV) And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.(Acts 10:45 NKJV) For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God….(Acts 10:46 NKJV) At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort,(Acts 10:1 NIV) a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.(Acts 10:2 ESV) About the ninth hour of the day. he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.”(Acts 10:3 ESV) And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. (Acts 10:4 ESV) And now send men to Joppa and bring one Simon who is called Peter. (Acts 10:5 ESV)

And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting [fn]money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. (Mark 12:41 NASB) A poor widow came and put in two [fn]small copper coins, which amount to a cent. (Mark 12:42 NASB) Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; (Mark 12:43 NASB) or they all put in out of their [fn]surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, [fn]all she had to live on.” (Mark 12:44 NASB) A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”(2 Kings 4:1 NKJV) So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”(2 Kings 4:2 NKJV) Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few.(2 Kings 4:3 NKJV) “And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” (2 Kings 4:4 NKJV) So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out.(2 Kings 4:5 NKJV) Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased.(2 Kings 4:6 NKJV) Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil **and pay your debt; and you and **your sons live on the rest.”(2 Kings 4:7 NKJV) Your Desperate Cry for Help to God Removes The Cause of Your Distress

Sermon Note : “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot (Matthew 5:13 NIV) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.(Matthew 5:14 NIV) Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the http://house.in the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:15-16 NIV) The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.(Genesis 12:1 NIV) “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.(Genesis 12:2 NIV) I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”(Genesis 12:3 NIV) So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.(Genesis 12:4 NIV) He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.(Genesis 12:5 NIV) Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.(Genesis 12:6 NIV) The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring *I will give* this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.(Genesis 12:6 NIV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made..(Galatians 3:16 NIV) if You are of Christ then of Abraham you are seed..(Galatians 3:29 NIV)

I'm Chosen

…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. (Ephesians 1:4-5 NKJV) (Jonathan son of Saul had a son who was lame in both feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel. (2 Samuel 4:4 NIV) His nurse picked him up and fled, but as she hurried to leave, he fell and became disabled. His name was Mephibosheth. (2 Samuel 4:4 NIV) And David said, “Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” (2 Samuel 9:1 ESV) And Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, son of Saul, came to David and fell on his face and paid homage. And David said, “Mephibosheth!” And he answered, “Behold, I am your servant.” (2 Samuel 9:6 ESV) And David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul your father, and you shall eat at my table always.” (2 Samuel 9:7 ESV) So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king’s table; and was lame on both his feet.(2 Samuel 9:13 ESV) Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt. (1 Samuel 18:4 ESV) Additional Resources 1. Your faith is not the basis of God’s choosing you, but the result of it. This means that your faith is a wonder — more wonderful than any of the seven wonders of the world. Jesus said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you” (John 15:16). And there was a deeper choosing going on here than just the selection of the Twelve. We know this because Judas was part of the Twelve, and he was not “chosen.” Jesus said, “I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me’” (John 13:18). If you have come to Jesus, the wonder is that you already belonged to the Father, and the Father gave you to Jesus. You were not chosen because you came; you came because you were chosen. That’s what Jesus said: “All that the Father gives me will come to me… . Yours they were, and you gave them to me” (John 6:37; 17:6). 2.The basis of God choosing you is not in you, but in grace. Take God’s Old Testament people Israel, for example. Why did God set his favor on Israel above all the peoples of the earth? What was the basis of God’s calling them “my chosen” (Isaiah 45:4)? Here’s Moses’s answer: The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because the Lord loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers. (Deuteronomy 7:6–8) This is amazing: “The Lord set his love on you and chose you … because the Lord loves you.” He loves you because he loves you! That’s the deepest, and ultimate, basis of God’s choosing Israel. 3. Since our faith and obedience is owing to God’s choice of us, we can know we are chosen. It is a wonder that God’s unfathomable, eternal choice of who will be his children can be known by those he chose. Paul said that he knew the Thessalonian believers were God’s chosen ones. “We know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you” (1 Thessalonians 1:4). How can he know this? And how can they? Paul explains, “We know … because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction… . You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 1:4–6).

FROM NEW SERIES | JESUS & WE …one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.(Luke 7:36 NIV) A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume.(Luke 7:37 NIV) As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on the.(Luke 7:38 NIV) When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”(Luke 7:39 NIV) Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.(Luke 7:44 NIV) You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.(Luke 7:45 NIV) You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.(Luke 7:46 NIV) Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”(Luke 7:47 NIV) Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” (Luke 7:48 NIV) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.(Matthew 11:28 NIV) Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.(Matthew 11:29 NIV) For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29 NIV)
