Prison Ministry

Carrying the love of Christ inside prison walls.

Justin Ramsey, Church Project Coordinator | justinramseydds@gmail.com Website: http://www.charmprisonministry.org/ Our Mission | Christ’s Hope and Reconciliation Ministry (C.H.A.R.M.) exists to minister to incarcerated men and women, correctional personnel, and their respective families. C.H.A.R.M.’s goal is to share the hope found only in Jesus Christ and to see souls reconciled to God, resulting in transformed lives and relationships with families, the local church, and communities. Ongoing Prayer Needs | • Prayers that God would work through this ministry. • Pray for the ministry leaders and their families, for continued vision and direction from God, for our volunteers who go into the prisons to evangelize and disciple, and for all to encounter the love and hope found in Jesus Christ. Serving Opportunities | At CHARM we look beyond the criminal and see a real person, made in God’s image and worth getting to know. With the help of hundreds of volunteers who go into the prisons with us each year, we engage inmates in fun activities, recreational sports and other outreach events. But along with the games, we give them the gospel. We evangelize and disciple them, listen to them, and pray with them. Returning to the same prisons time after time, we build one-on-one relationships with men and women who often have no family or friends still present in their lives. We continue our family-style ministry as we bring recently released offenders into our transitional homes. There they learn how to “do life” as they continue to learn and grow in the Lord. We offer very practical help and give them a stable place from which to launch back into society, now free to be the people God created them to be.
