During the time of the prophet, Zephaniah, Judah had so polluted itself with violence, injustice, idolatry, and religious pretense, that God’s righteous judgment was set in motion. Like a floodgate about to break, the wrath of God’s judgment was about to burst upon Jerusalem and all of Judah. New Year's Eve Worship

December 31, 2017

Many of us want 2018 to be different. We truly desire the new year to be better than the one drawing to a close. Some hardships have been products of our own choices, others have come as a result of the choices of others. One thing is for sure, the Lord God is aware and He knows our heart. He is in ultimate control of all things and remembers those who fear Him—those determined to honor His name regardless of their circumstances (Malachi 3:16). What are you resolved to do? Is one of your resolutions to honor God, no matter what happens around you? Jesus said, “God blesses those whose hearts are pure; for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8).

Revelation 14:1-2 NLT 1 Then I saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of mighty ocean waves or the rolling of loud thunder. It was like the sound of many harpists playing together.

“Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son… The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command. When He had cleansed us from our sins, He sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven” (Hebrews1:1-2a,3). The writer of Hebrews goes on to say: “And when He brought His supreme Son into the world, God said, ‘Let all of God’s angels worship Him’” (Hebrews 1:6).
