It's a new season, and Fall Kick Off starts a four week series called Game On, where we look at the book of Nehemiah through the lens of football. Week one is Game Plan. In 1991 the New York Giants beat the greatest offense in football with a backup quarterback and a defensive scheme nobody saw coming, and that game plan is now on display in the Hall of Fame because somebody decided the plan was the thing worth keeping. Nehemiah heard that Jerusalem was in ruins, and before he ever picked up a stone he wept, prayed, planned, and counted the cost.
