In John 5, Jesus asks a deceptively simple question of a man who had been crippled for many years- Do you want to get well? Unfortunately, we sometimes deny that we are broken and need to be healed. Instead of admitting the truth, we consider our brokenness to be a “life issue” that we can work through on our own. How can we tell the difference between a life issue and a real problem that requires help?
