We are making our way through the book of Genesis, and this week we’ll read about the destruction of the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Intertwined within this story is a contrast of the integrity of Abraham and his nephew Lot.
Here are the principles today’s story reveals:
• God responds to the prayers of righteous people
• Bad surroundings corrupts good character
• God will not fail to judge evil
• Anyone can be God’s friend- even YOU!
God wants nothing more than to be your friend, too. He invites you into a deep, personal relationship with Him. That relationship opens the door to an entirely new existence with God as a friend instead of an opponent. Give your life to Him!
