Have you ever been at a place in life where you’ve been tempted to throw up your hands, throw in the towel, and abandon all hope that anything will get any better? That attitude accurately describes the moral and spiritual climate of Israel during Elijah’s life. Here are three reasons why we ought not give up on God.

Because of the way the book of Esther is written, I believe there is a better way to study it than a simple character study. The text has relatively little to say about Esther the woman. Instead, she is more a part of a larger story that is a window into the way God works in the world on behalf of His people.
