In today’s story, the Pharisees decide to pay Jesus a visit. Word was spreading about his teaching and his miracles, and the Pharisees wanted to see for themselves what the fuss was about. When they found Jesus, they noticed that his disciples weren’t following their rules and regulations when it came time to eat, and an interesting conversation took place.

04-09-23 The Greatest Discovery

Jesus had been dead two days, and his disciples were grief-stricken and fearful for their own lives. Early in the morning of the day after Sabbath, two women came to Jesus’ tomb intending to anoint Jesus’ body with spices. In Matthew’s account of what happened, he uses an old-fashioned word to describe three discoveries the women made.
