This age will come to an end when Jesus Christ sets up His kingdom here on earth. We know not the time nor the place He will come. When He does will you be ready to join Him? Make sure you have surrendered your life to Jesus, and you have committed your life to serving Him. Right now, pray for someone you know (a friend or family member who lives far away) who is not a believer that they will be influenced to believe and be born again by someone near them. A Dragnet is used to catch everything of a certain size or larger. The catch will later be sorted and some saved and some discarded. This story is used her to illustrate the Primary Message of the Bible. When we approach the Bible, we should do it in a three step process: 1) Take it in, 2) Think it through, 3) Live it out! Jesus teaches His disciples how the Word is to be spread in this parable. He also notes how some of it will not received. In doing so, He is preparing them that they should be reckless in spreading the Word to the ends of the earth. It is our responsibility as Christians to continue spreading the Seed of the Gospel throughout the world. ACTION ITEMS: 1) Take time this week to spread the Seed of the Good News of the Gospel to at least TWO other people you know. 2) Pray for those people that their soil may be fertile for the seed to grow in them. 3) Pray for the rest of the church that others may also find fertile soil for more seeds to grow. Jesus sends out His disciples with a command to go into the world, but not be of the world. He sent the Holy Spirit to help to prepare for His coming at the end of the age.
