Today, we commemorated the events of Good Friday—the setting, the stooping, the washing, and the exchange. We contemplated the horrific and the beautiful of Jesus’ death on our behalf.
Come behold the Man upon the Cross.
The Servant to the Cross
March 29, 2026 • Richard Cimino
The One who, for all eternity, was clothed in glory—worshiped and praised by the host of heaven—became one of us, became the servant to humanity, became the ransom for our own sin and rebellion on the cross.
Listen as Richard Cimino speaks the on physical and emotional suffering of Jesus, wherein we see the glory of God’s sacrificial love, his matchless grace, and his victorious power over sin and death.
The God Who Is Our Righteousness
March 26, 2026 • Jeremiah 23:1–6
In this message, Keilah takes us through Jeremiah 23:1-6, where the LORD promises that a new King would come and restore hope, security, and peace as “The LORD our Righteous Savior”. As we look at this passage and to Jesus, we find that there is nothing we can do to make—or keep—ourselves righteous, other than faith in the One who is goodness Himself.
The Human Servant
March 22, 2026 • Jordan Taylor
Christlikeness should be the ultimate pursuit of our lives, and that looks like giving up our own interests and advantages for the sake of others—just as Jesus did.
Listen as Pastor Jordan Taylor hones in on the selflessness of Christ, asking us to consider how we respond when humility, obedience, or submission feels unfair or unseen?
The God Who Is Provider
March 21, 2026 • Genesis 22:7–14
In our message today, Nicolette Walker took us through our story with Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22. The question we often ask ourselves is, “Will God provide?” In God’s name, YHWH Jireh, we see that He is the God who sees ahead and the God who will see to it. In Abraham’s story, we see that God provides for the need when it was the eleventh hour and in an unexpected way. For us today, we are reminded that delay does not mean abandonment, and that faith sometimes requires moving forward without full understanding, trusting in God’s active provision.
The Preexistence and Incarnation of the Son of God
March 15, 2026
Each year, we gather to celebrate the story of Easter—its power and impact. And while these truths never change, our familiarity can make it harder to feel the wonder and weight of what Jesus has done. Have you ever found that to be true?
For this reason, Char Brodersen begins to unpack Philippians 2:1–11, a remarkable passage of Scripture, helping us to see more clearly and gain more appreciation for the incarnation, life, death, resurrection, and glorification of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The God Who Is Aware
March 12, 2026 • Genesis 16
In this study, The God Who Is Aware, we look to the story of Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar. Though this story is full of shame, faithlessness, cruelty, and pain, we still see so clearly the God who is compassionate, loving, moved to action by the suffering of the broken. Keilah encouraged us with the fact that just as God was aware of Hagar, He also made her aware of who He was and how He was providing for her--and He does the same for us. May we have eyes to see the way He sees, aware of those who are overlooked, overpowered, or overwhelmed.
Loving the Stranger
March 8, 2026 • Char Brodersen
As we close out our three-part series on "A Hospitable Community," Char Brodersen invites us to take an honest look at how each of us can cultivate a life of hospitality.
Biblical hospitality can be a bit messy. As Christine Pohl says in "Making Room," hospitality is both "costly and wonderfully rewarding," but can often involve "small deaths and little resurrections." This description is a powerful picture of what God is calling us into—following in the way of Jesus to give our lives over for the sake of others. Yet this kind of welcome is deeply needed. May we be those who open our lives, our homes, and our hearts to those around us.
First Thursday Gathering: Sharing Your Testimony
March 5, 2026
As part of our regular rhythms, we dedicate every First Thursday of the month to setting down our usual study time and enjoying one another, and hearing from different women in our community. This month, Sharon Fischer shared with us a beautiful story of healing and new mission given to her by the Lord. Grace Brodersen shared on the why and how to share your testimony--in this way, we create a holy space for people to be known and received as they are.
Welcoming the Stranger
March 1, 2026 • Char Brodersen
When a wave of hippies began showing up at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in the late 1960s, they didn’t find rejection—they found the welcome of Jesus through the people of God. That spirit of hospitality became the soil through which God did extraordinary things through the church. Listen as Char Brodersen teaches from Romans 15 about what it truly means to welcome the stranger.
The God Who Is With Us
February 26, 2026 • Psalm 23
In today's message, Kaili beautifully pointed out the parallels between David and Jacob. Both experienced familial division, difficult things in life, even committed sin, and yet we see that God is not ashamed to be claimed as their Shepherd, the One who cared for them, guided them, even anointed them and declared them to be His. In the same way, will we allow Jesus to overcome our unbelief, our sense of duty, and our doubt of His care for us?
The God Who Is Most High
February 25, 2026 • Genesis 14:15
As we continue with our study in “The God Who Has A Name”, we come to Genesis to see how God reveals Himself as God Most High—El Elyon. To Abraham, He made Himself known in many different ways, but through raging battles and unanswered pain, God shows that though he is high above, He is also the God who has made Himself low, who enters in to our pain, our questions, our doubts, our pains, and gives us Himself.
I Am the Stranger
February 22, 2026 • Char Brodersen
In our current climate, there is a real hunger for authentic human connection—for community, a desire for a safe and welcoming space. There is a generation in search of identity, belonging, and meaning. In other words, there is a new generation of seekers.
As God’s people, the Church is uniquely positioned to respond to this hunger with good news. We are called to reflect the heart of our hospitable and generous God by becoming a community of welcome—where strangers become neighbors and outsiders find a home.
Listen as Char Brodersen reflects on the story of the Exodus, laying out for us the foundation of what "A Hospitable Community" can and should look like.
Further Up, Further In
February 15, 2026 • Char Brodersen
As we come to the close of our series, Char Brodersen reminds us that we cannot ignore the cruciform way of Jesus—the only true path of discipleship.
Every time Jesus is asked about greatness in his kingdom, he highlights service, self-sacrifice, taking up the cross. He calls us to see and welcome “the least of these”—the fatherless, the widow, the poor, the foreigner, the little child. Those who truly see, serve, and care for the least are walking the way of the cross—and they are the ones God calls great in his kingdom.
Watch or listen as we conclude our journey through the Gospel of Mark.
Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, and the Glory Revealed
February 8, 2026 • Char Brodersen
In Mark 15, we witness Jesus accomplish his Messianic mission. We see that his way is the way of the cross, the way of self-sacrifice. We see our Savior fulfill Isaiah 53, taking up our pain, bearing our suffering—stricken, afflicted, pierced for our transgressions, led as a sheep to the slaughter. But it is in his death that God’s glory is revealed.
Listen as Char Brodersen invites us into the story of Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, and the Glory Revealed.
First Thursday Gathering: Loving Community Panel
February 5, 2026
In today's gathering, we heard from various women in our ministry about what it means to live in and be a loving community.
The Trial and Confession of Jesus and His Disciple
February 1, 2026 • Char Brodersen
This week, we return to Mark 14, a weighty passage where we watch as Jesus stands his ground in the face of the most powerful religious men on the earth, testifying to his true identity with boldness and confidence, all the while knowing the fate that awaits him. Listen as Char Brodersen teaches on the trial of Jesus.
The God Who Is Known
January 29, 2026 • Exodus 3:13–15
As we begin our study on “The God Who Has A Name”, Robin kicks us off by diving into the name that God gave when He revealed Himself to Moses: “I AM WHO I AM”. Explaining to us the full, beautiful meaning of each consonant in His name, “YHWH”, Robin reminded us that this name points to a God who is fully active and present in the past, here and now, and in the future.
Baptism Sunday
January 25, 2026
This past Sunday, we witnessed powerful stories of new life in Christ as brothers and sisters publicly declared their faith through baptism. Each step into the water was a reminder of God’s grace at work—lives transformed, faith made visible, and hope renewed.
The God Who Has A Name
January 22, 2026
In today’s message, Hannah Colt introduces our new study, “The God Who Has A Name”. She gives us a flyover view of each coming study as we focus on nine names of God. Through all the different facets of His name, it can be easy to feel lost, but His name is simple and unchanging. YHWH is the God who sees His people, sees our brokenness, and says “I will stand them back up again!"
Jesus with the Loathed, the Lowest, and the Lost
January 18, 2026 • Richard Cimino
There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the ways God calls people to himself—and just as beautiful is watching those he calls walk in true repentance. As we study the story of Levi the tax collector, better known as Matthew, we see how Jesus calls the loathed, the lowest, and the lost. Listen or watch as Richard Cimino teaches from Luke 5.
