"See God's Beauty" — Ivan Blake
June 2, 2023 • Ivan Blake
Ivan Blake, a pastor at the Carolina Conference, talks about the concept of seeing God's beauty and glory, referencing John's statement that believers of his time saw Jesus' glory. He explores the idea of seeking God's face and notes that fallen humanity cannot clean their hearts themselves, but can only experience God's costly grace and have the scales removed from their eyes through the cross of Jesus Christ. He highlights the significance of the cross in reconciling humanity with God and encouraging people to focus on the gifts of God's grace, seeing God not just as a holy judge but as a beautiful, enjoyable presence in their lives. Blake concludes by praying for listeners to revel, rejoice, take pleasure, and be satisfied in the gift of Jesus Christ and his love story.
