Each year, we set aside one day to be especially thankful - is that enough? That’s only 0.3% of the year to be especially thankful. I submit that if we thought about it and what we have, we could be thankful for the other 99.7% of the year too. Paul said, “Give thanks in everything” (1 Thess. 5:18)

Many people don’t receive what they want from God either because they do not ask or they ask with the wrong motives. The Kingdom of God and the needs of others don’t factor into the equation. A helpful question to pose when we pray about something for ourselves is this: How will God’s program be advanced through the granting of my request? - Tony Evan
