When Christ left us to return to the Father, he didn't leave us on our own. He doesn't expect us to follow him in our own strength. He gave us his Spirit to empower us and lead us. All we have to do is ask him to lead us and empower us through his Spirit and he will! Jesus said, "What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:11-13) Pastor Ken

Whatever lies before us, God has opportunities for us to shine for Christ. Pastor Ken

"Behind all the events and human plans recounted in the story of Joseph lies the unchanging plan of God. Through his dealings with the patriarchs and Joseph, God had continued to bring about his good plan. He had remained faithful to his purposes, and it is the point of this narrative to show that his people can continue to trust him and to believe that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” John Sailhamer

Did you receive the Spirit? Will you receive the Spirit? Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
