Patrick Smith, a commercial airline pilot who flies Boeing 757’s and 767’s, has noticed that flyers' number 1 anxiety is turbulence. So much about it seems dangerous, Smith argues that from the perspective of the pilot, turbulence is often a mere blip on the screen. The plane will not flip upside-down or go into a tail spin. It's just a pocket of air - a nuisance. Even though it feels much worse than it is.
Life is like that - we will all experience turbulence from time to time. However, with Christ as our pilot - we will safely make it to the gate and home. (John 14:1-3)

We have all been in situations where there appeared to be no way out - up the creek without a paddle so to speak. As Elisha said to his servant, "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16) Look up for God has a paddle for you to help you in that dark situation.
