Every journey has a lot of steps from preparation to the actual journey. Any successful trip requires planning and preparation. The wise men journeyed to Jerusalem with intention - "Where is he who is born king of the Jews . . . for we have come to worship him." (Matthew 2:2). They were seeking the Lord - do you in your life? "Did I say the wrong thing?" "I'm sorry, I misspoke!" "That's not what I meant!" We have all said things that we have regretted or were misunderstood. But let's not fear as we seek to speak the gospel. But we can be confident as we pray that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ (Colossian 4:3)

In my neighborhood, I started walking and staying on specific roads. As I got familiar, I began to branch off and explore other areas getting more comfortable. As we engage our culture and neighborhoods, God will give us what we need to connect with them. "Go into all the world (even your neighborhoods) and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19)

Profound sadness, even depression was the lot for many faithful people such as Job, Elijah, Jeremiah, etc. Famous Christians like Martin Luther, Charles Spurgeon, and even Mother Teresa suffered from depression. If they made it, so can we in the valleys we walk through. Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God (Psalm 40:11b)
