Acts 1:1-8

Friday Evening Service

August 4, 2017 • Ron Arbaugh

Pastor Ron: "This is an important, indispensable book. Without it none of the books that follow would make much sense. We would not, for example, know who Paul was! Without this book the Apostle Paul's writings, nearly two-thirds of the NT, would be meaningless! We would have the gospels and a bunch of other stuff we could not understand."

Acts 1:9-26

Friday Evening Service • August 11, 2017 • Ron Arbaugh

Pastor Ron: "If you do not believe in a bodily, physical resurrection and return of Jesus, you are not saved! This is an essential of the faith; there is no room for disagreement or opinion on this issue."

Acts 2:1-13

Friday Evening Service • August 18, 2017 • Ron Arbaugh

Pastor Ron: "We can do nothing good without power from God. God has given His burning-Spirit to all who are His, and many of us are in the practice of snuffing out the fire every day! We snuff out the fire of God by disobedience, by unwillingness to surrender our will to His, and through compromise with the world."

Acts 2:14-41

Friday Evening Service • August 25, 2017 • Ron Arbaugh

Pastor Ron: "One problem we have with the term 'last days' is that we think of those days being over or nearly complete. We are never told how long this period of time will be; we are just told (over and over) to be ready for it! As I have said many timed, Jesus is coming and we need to live our lives s though we actually believe it."
