1 Peter 3:7-12

Friday Evening Service

February 28, 2020

"Live in harmony is translated in the KJV as ‘be of one mind.’ NIV is a better description of Peter’s point. If we are in harmony with one another it is because we all have the same mind, same focus, same purpose in life—we make beautiful music together! Now, the truth is that we are willing to be of one mind with others—as long as they agree with us! But that’s not what Peter intends. His point is the same one Paul makes: we are, as Christians, to have the mind of Christ (1 Cor.2:16). His mind is to dominate, overpower, our minds."
