Ezekiel 8-9

August 10, 2016 • Raul Ries

These are landmark chapters filled with vision, vexation and lasting instruction. Seated in Babylon, Ezekiel is taken by vision to the Jerusalem temple—now filled with vile immoral idolatry by 70 men whose call was to keep it pure. The priests in the Holy place worship pornographic images covering its walls—reflective of what fills their minds. With backs to Shekinah glory, they worship the sun, as women outside worship the queen of heaven & weep for her son Tammuz. The stunned prophet watches as the glory of the Lord begins to depart the temple.
