Ezekiel had some of the greatest visions of glory in all the Word of God. His ministry opens with a heavenly vision of God and closes with an earthly vision of God. The previous section focused on the temple in the Millennium. Now the final promises to Israel are fulfilled as in that “district” all the government and worship of Christ will be centered. In the great words of J. Hudson Taylor, “There is a living God. He has spoken in the Bible. He means what he says and will do all he has promised.”

They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!” Here God gives all Jews the hope of Israel one day being revived and united as a nation.
