Ezekiel preaches against the dangerous deceptive false prophets. The people have refused to listen to the Lord, get right with Him and ready to go into captivity. The judgment of God is now imminent. The message from these phony’s was be at peace because God had no intention of dealing with their sin. This only made the coming judgment worse, as the false peace left the people in a state where they felt they had no need to repent. Having confidence in in our feelings is not the same as having confidence in God.
