Jesus walked out of that grave on the third day and there were over 500 witnesses of His resurrection. The last thing that He said to us before He left was, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." He also promised to be with us even unto the end of the age. All power and authority have been given to Him. He did not tell us to entertain each other with a fancy new twist on the gospel. He only told us to preach it and make disciples.
Before the Sonrise
July 7, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 27:55–66, Isaiah 53:9, 1 Peter 1:18, John 19:41–42
When they place Jesus body in the tomb, they rolled a stone in front of the door and placed armed Roman Soldiers in front of it to make sure that He couldn't escape. They all watched Him die on that cross. What were they worried about? The tomb door was further protected with the Roman seal, which carried the authority of the most powerful government in the known world. If Jesus "escaped", the soldiers would be jailed or even put to death. Well, it turned out that they were justified in their fears because there ain't no grave that could hold Jesus down! Jesus did in fact rise out of that grave on the 3rd day, and the rest is history.
The Death of Jesus
June 23, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 27:37–52, Isaiah 53:12, Luke 23:45, John 19:30
The Cross was part of God's plan from the beginning of time. Christ's question in the Garden of Gethsemane, was proof that there is no other way to eternal life. He went to amazing and shocking lengths to save us. Tune in as Pastor Don takes us through this very difficult passage. Prayerfully, you will surrender yourself to the King of Glory, who loves you like no other and went to that cross to prove it.
Ugly as Sin
June 16, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 27:26–37
Just how ugly is sin? From man's perspective, not very. From God's? Well, that is a different story. What are we supposed to do about this, if anything? The crucifixion of Christ was not just a torture sentence brought on by jealous, religious zealots, but God's plan to spare the humanity that He created and loves, to be saved from themselves and eternal damnation.
Barabbas - Son of the Father
June 2, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 27:12–26, Luke 23:4, Proverbs 16:18, James 1:17, 1 John 3:15
If you had to choose between an Insurrectionist, murdering thief, or a blameless, harmless man to be executed, where do you think that you would fall? Seems like and easy question. Or is it? Pilate truckled to the crowd because of pride and fear of man. Barabbas is an interesting parallel with the Antichrist in Revelation Chapter 6. Check it out in your spare time.
Trial of Errors
May 26, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • John 18:36, Mark 5:5, Matthew 27:1–17, Acts 1:18, Zechariah 11:13
Jesus was tried 6 different times. The religious leaders really wanted Him dead. They finally got their way, but He has the last laugh because He rose again! This is the third Jewish trial that was held before Pontius Pilate.
Sifting Simon
May 19, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 26:69–75, Luke 22
Pastor Don will be describing 6 steps to backsliding, using the example of Peter in Matthew chapter 26 and Luke 22. You may find that you have fallen into one or more of these traps. There is good news!
Apprehended
May 12, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 26:45–68
Jesus did everything in public in the light of day. When they came to get Him and proceed to put Him through 6 trumped up trials, it was at night. They thought that they were the ones in control, but as we will see, God is always the one with the final say.
Gethsemane
May 5, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 26:31–43
We grossly underestimate the lengths that Jesus went to so that we may have peace with God and eternal life. Let's take a look at just a part of the journey that Jesus endured, for our sake.
Communion
April 28, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 26:17–30, John 13:21–30, John 6:63, Romans 6:10, 1 Corinthians 11:25
Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of Me". Many have been confused by the different teachings on this doctrine. Suffice it to say, when Jesus spoke of the 7 I Am's in the Gospel of John, no one was confused as to whether or not he was really a door, or bread. They knew that he was drawing a metaphor, just as He did during the last supper during Passover.
Dollars and Scents
April 21, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • John 12:6, Mark 14:8, Exodus 21:32, Matthew 26:1–16, Psalm 51:17
Mary gave all that she had in extravagant worship to our Lord. Judas sold his betrayal of Jesus to the highest bidder. Judas complained that Mary was "wasting" what could have been sold and given to the poor. He didn't really care about the poor. He was a thief. Ironically, when Jesus calls Judas the "son of perdition", the same word (waste) is used. Judas wasted his life while Mary made the best use of her time at the feet of Jesus. Givers and Takers, which one are you?
The Sheep & The Goats
April 14, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 25:31–46
There will come a day when Jesus separates those who know Him and those who do not. This will happen at the end of the Tribulation and before the Millennial reign. This event is NOT the Great White Throne Judgement after the 1000-year reign. You don't want to be present for that day, but this event is referred to as "The Judgement of the Nations". BE READY!
April 7, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 25:1–30, Daniel 12:11, 1 John 2:28
Will you be like the virgins who let their oil run out before the Bridegroom returned, or will you be ready and not shy away from His coming? He's coming, ready or not! BE READY!
The End
March 24, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 24:17–51
This passage of scripture is an extraordinary picture of the times to come. The writing is on the wall. We have read the script and now we are in the movie.
The Beginning of The End
March 17, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Zechariah 14:4, Revelation 12:9, Revelation 14:7, Matthew 24:1–16, Matthew 23:7–8
Fulfilled prophecy authenticates scripture. If you are a student of the Bible, you know what to expect in the coming days. Jesus parses out a few of these signs in this passage in The Gospel of Matthew. He speaks of prophecies that will be fulfilled from Daniel Chapter 9 in very precise timing.
