We grossly underestimate the lengths that Jesus went to so that we may have peace with God and eternal life. Let's take a look at just a part of the journey that Jesus endured, for our sake.

The Great Commission

Jesus walked out of that grave on the third day and there were over 500 witnesses of His resurrection. The last thing that He said to us before He left was, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." He also promised to be with us even unto the end of the age. All power and authority have been given to Him. He did not tell us to entertain each other with a fancy new twist on the gospel. He only told us to preach it and make disciples.

Before the Sonrise

When they place Jesus body in the tomb, they rolled a stone in front of the door and placed armed Roman Soldiers in front of it to make sure that He couldn't escape. They all watched Him die on that cross. What were they worried about? The tomb door was further protected with the Roman seal, which carried the authority of the most powerful government in the known world. If Jesus "escaped", the soldiers would be jailed or even put to death. Well, it turned out that they were justified in their fears because there ain't no grave that could hold Jesus down! Jesus did in fact rise out of that grave on the 3rd day, and the rest is history.

The Death of Jesus

The Cross was part of God's plan from the beginning of time. Christ's question in the Garden of Gethsemane, was proof that there is no other way to eternal life.
