Introduction to The Acts of the Apostles

Acts 1:1-3

July 28, 2024 • Pastor Don Roach • Acts 1:1–3

The Acts of the Apostles was written by Luke, who also wrote the Gospel of Luke. He was a doctor but left his profession to follow Christ, so he is keen on details. He walked with and learned from the Apostle Paul. Most believe that he never met Jesus in person. He became a follower of Jesus after the Lord's death. Acts is the fifth book of the New Testament and tells of the founding of the Christian church and the spread of the Gospel to the Roman Empire. It begins where the gospels left off, with the Ascension of Jesus Christ. Join us on this journey, as it is sure to help you in your understanding of the scriptures as a whole.
