Promos & Recaps

2019 Summer Retreat (Recap Video)

July 26, 2019

Thank you Jesus for such an incredible weekend we had together! God showed His love to us in such personal and sweet ways as we worshipped Him, studied His word, and just had a bunch of fun together.

This was amazing

Mother's Day Sunday • May 12, 2019

Mother’s Day Sunday was an amazing day for us to come together to honor our moms. We painted pots and planted poppy flower seeds in them to give to our moms, and we also helped to put on a photo booth for all the families of our church. It was such a blessing to see our beautiful families at the Photo Booth this weekend. Our students on the Social Media Team did such a great job helping Pastor Josh run the booth. All in all, this was an amazing day!

Jesus still changes lives

Open Up Sunday • May 5, 2019

This past Sunday, our pastors didn’t share instead our leaders & students shared what God is doing in their lives. In both our 9am and 11am services they shared story after story of the goodness, faithfulness, grace, and love of God. We strongly encourage you to give this two minute clip a listen, and to be blessed by these testimonies.

The Huey Awards

2019 Winter Retreat Talent Show • January 11, 2019

In the past years, talent shows at retreats have made for some of the best and funniest memories. After taking a break from them for a few years, the famous retreat talent show will be back at this year’s winter camp! And unlike past talent shows, this one will be a full-out competition called “The Hueys” where we will be giving out actual awards to those who our judges feel deserve them. If you’re planning on competing, get ready to perform your heart out in this battle for victory. If you’re just going to sit in the audience and watch, get ready to laugh uncontrollably at your friends who are performing. And if you’re not going on retreat this year, or even if you are, prepare to get a glimpse of what this year’s show will look like by watching this trailer of the recap video of past competitors.

Cozy Vibes

Youth Renovations • December 20, 2018

Here at in the Youth Ministry we strive to give our best to the Lord because of all He has given us! One way we aim to glorify Him is through our creativity and design. Recently we have made renovations to beautify both the Youth & Jr. High rooms. We’ve created areas for students to connect & fellowship, along with upgrading the Jr. High stage. More renovations are to come, but we are very excited about what is already done.

PHOTOS: What a special evening

Friendsgiving 2018 • November 14, 2018

Our fourth annual Friendsgiving was such a special and amazing evening. Our leaders cooked up and provided an amazing Thanksgiving meal for all of us, and we just had a wonderful time in our cozy courtyard. These nights are some of our favorites, and we are so thankful for all the new and familiar faces that came out to it!

Serving Ops at Sunday Nights

Serving Opportunity

If you haven't already heard or seen, God has begun and is building a work of revival at the Sunday Nights Bible studies. Week in and week out, He has made these services a place for His presence to dwell and move in power. The young & seasoned come together and seek the Lord as one family, and it's absolutely beautiful and blessed. What's special is, God has used our Youth (us) as a major part of the workforce that makes these nights happen. From setting up & tearing down, to leading worship it's been incredible to experience God using the young to have a part in this ministry to all ages.

JHI Worship

Jr. High Worship Team Application

What we want in JHI worship is not perfection or the most skilled musicians of all time. What we want in JHI worship is a humble heart that’s full of love for one another while also giving your best effort to be the best musician you can be as a sacrifice to God.

Be Lifted High

2018 Winter Retreat Video

We have no words to describe how powerful, personal, and life changing the 2018 Winter Retreat was for us as a ministry and individuals. God met His people on the mountain, and we came down from the retreat changed and ready to advance into this next season with grit and determination. Praise the Lord for what He has done, may His name be lifted high by the way we live and seek His face.

Sharing the Gospel with Joe

Week One: Growth Course Progress Report • February 25, 2018 • Josh Teasley & Max McBroom

After our first Growth Course class, Max and Josh went next-door to the Cinema City area to share the Gospel. They ended up buying lunch to a man named Joe, and talked to him about Jesus. This is what Growth Course and growing with the Lord is all about, not just knowing God, but believing what we know enough to take action now.

Jasmin | Bring to Light

Girls Event: Bring To Light • Jasmin Hernandez

Paul says, "Whatever I am, it is because God poured special favor on me, and it was not without effect." Jasmin was not always who she is today, and who she is today is all because of the grace, love, and faithfulness of Jesus. This is a brief snippet of the story God has written in her life, and how He has redeemed and repurposed her for the good & His glory. She will share her full story at the Bring to Light girls event on February 24th. (RSVP free under our events tab.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attention high school girls, you’re invited to our Bring to Light conference. It’s our heart to deepen our relationships with one another. It’s normal to feel ashamed for things in our past, but that does not define who we are today in Christ. This isn’t your normal sexual purity conference because we know that’s only one aspect of purity that God wants for us. Bringing to light any hidden or shameful sins we’re still dealing with, starts with revealing those things to the Lord. Is there something hiding within your heart that God is calling into His light? Note: Our leaders will share their testimonies, and will be honest and vulnerable about what God has brought them through. This is not a time where sin will be glorified, but it will be discussed in the light of God's redemption.

Recap: Movie @ The McCoy's

Video Recap • September 29, 2017

Here are some a few moments we were able to capture at our movie night we hosted at the home of our drummer and high school leader Zack McCoy. It was such a low-key time to kick back to watch The Incredibles, and to enjoy each other's company in the beautiful California evening whether. Thankful for nights like these, and hope we get to do more in the future!

Need Wallpaper?

In celebration of the release of the new iPhone 8, we thought we'd give you some good truth on your new lock screen!  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." -- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Jesus said in John 15, "The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you." No matter what we do, or how we nicely we share the gospel, there will be people who will hate us because of what we stand for and Who we love. But, as followers of Jesus who were saved and loved by God while we were His enemies, we must be willing to follow in His footsteps in loving the unsaved. We've been warned, the world will hate us for being His Kids, so stop hoping for people to like you, because we've been warned they often won't like us. But pray for a love that will never fail, even if it doesn't seem to "work". Because is that not the love of Jesus, a love that never gave up on us, no matter how much we fell down or pushed back. "Bless those who persecute you. Don't curse them; pray that God will bless them" - Romans 12:14
