In this majestic passage of Scripture, Paul encourages Philippian believers to stand fast in their faith and live lives worthy of the gospel despite external pressures and even in the face of internal divisions. In what is the most spectacular five or six verses ever written down anywhere or any time, Paul points to Jesus as the supreme expression of humility and selfless, sacrificial love for us to model our own lives after.

Gospel Partnership & God's Provision

Paul closes this letter by acknowledging receipt of the gift the Philippian church sent for his support. He celebrates the gospel fellowship and partnership that it represents while also making it clear that his contentment and his strength are grounded in, and come from, Christ. Guarding the Gospel
