In Acts 13-15, we find three case studies of principles we recently discussed in our series on Church Membership: commission, commitment, and confession. In chapter 13, Paul and Barnabas are sent on their first missionary journey. Based on their experiences, we find several lessons for modern-day missions.

In chapter 25, Paul continues to face threats and false accusations; and once again, he must defend himself before the Roman and Jewish authorities. Interestingly, God is not named in this chapter, though His sovereign wisdom is clearly on display. In this chapter of Paul’s trials, we learn that God’s wisdom is shown even when His name is not known.
