In chapter 25, Paul continues to face threats and false accusations; and once again, he must defend himself before the Roman and Jewish authorities. Interestingly, God is not named in this chapter, though His sovereign wisdom is clearly on display. In this chapter of Paul’s trials, we learn that God’s wisdom is shown even when His name is not known.
In Acts 23, Paul testifies before the Sanhedrin as the Roman tribune, Lysias, continues to observe his words and deeds. Later, God will use Lysias to protect Paul from the threat of death. From this story we learn the power of a faithful witness and our faithful God.
