Clearly the Resurrection of Jesus is the most significant evidence for the truth of the Christian faith. So significant and foundational that the Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote to the Church in Corinth that if Jesus was not raised, our gospel is empty, our faith is empty or without any foundation and futile, we are made out to be liars, and are still lost in our sins. We are all the most pitiable. However, before Jesus ever showed up on the scene, God spoke through his prophets predicting what was to take place. 1. Israel has and continues to be the epicenter of God's dealings with man. His faithfulness to them is the same character we can trust to be faithful to us. 1. God has and will continue to keep His promises to Israel. 2. God's promises can be trusted as long as we know them through His Word. 3. God is the only One we can trust to always be our defense.

1. Jew Hatred is an emotional position, not a scriptural or factual one. 2. Israel's actions do not justify the actions of Hamas. 3. The opinions of individual Hebrews and Christians do not speak for the whole of Israel or the Bible. 4. War is not sinful in of itself. It is the God-given responsibility of a government to have and use their military. 5. Amalek, Canaan, and Moab are not appropriate examples or comparisons due to Hamas failing to be given centuries of prophetic warnings in advance.

The Rapture Ready Church

Jesus' letter to the church of Philadelphia gives us an example of the kind of church we want to be in anticipation of His return. They are commended for their focus on Him, their willingness to use whatever strength they had for the sake of His Word, and lived in constant readiness for His return. 1. Stay focused on the person of Jesus Christ. 2. This life isn't about us. Use what opportunities God gives you to show His heart to others. 3. In order to anticipate the promises of Jesus, you need to know them.

Dealing With Delusion

The closer we get to the return of Christ, the closer we need to get to Christ. The truth is under attack now and will continue to be more and more in the future. The key is to know what the truth is and where to find its answer to the lie this world continues to tell us. 1. The claim that we can be right with God apart from Jesus is the lie the enemy tells to the world. 2. The reality that through Jesus alone we have salvation from the wrath of God is the truth. 3. Without a love for the truth, we will believe the lie.

Operation Evacuation

Jesus describes three kinds of people who will make up His church at the time of the Rapture. Those who are like Noah, Lot, and Lot's wife. Noah had a grace based relationship with God and lived accordingly. Lot also had a grace based relationship with God but lived in spite of it. Lot's wife knew Godly people and Godly things, but ultimately turned back to the world when He tried to save her from its ultimate consequences. 1. The fact the world is looking more and more like how Jesus said it would upon His return should excite us. 2. Live like you could stand before Jesus today. None of us are promised a tomorrow. 3. Grace alone is what saves us. Live in light of it, not in spite of it.

An Invasion on the Horizon

The famous Gog and Magog invasion is as fascinating a prophecy for what we are told as it is referring to what we don't yet know. A lot of things are falling into place in very recent history, but there are still missing pieces to the puzzle that need to be paid attention to as we see the world continuing to head this direction. 1. The problem isn't that God is unclear. We're just not listening. 2. God is not the kind of being you want to be on the wrong side of in war. 3. God will protect His people for the sake of all nations knowing who He truly is.

The Battle of the Ages

Asaph's Psalm prophesies a failed invasion of Israel. While that isn't necessarily a unique event given recent history, we are seeing events unravel that involves the nations that Asaph's prophecy mention by name. All of these groups that will seek Israel's destruction have been their enemies at one time or another. Yet we have never seen them all come after Israel at once. The hope is that this will be yet another opportunity to show the world that the word of God is true, but that this invasion we may see in our lifetimes will spell the end of the death cult known as Islam. 1. The greatest manifestation of Satan's heart is hatred of the Hebrew people. 2. God has focused His dealings with mankind through Israel. 3. We aren't promised a tomorrow. Live for Jesus today.

Prophecy Update 2023

In light of prophetically significant events taking place in Israel, we would do well to remind ourselves and each other what is and isn't true concerning Bible prophecy. 1. The journey will be scary, but we know how the story of history ends. 2. Our war is against false doctrine, not those taken in by it. 3. Jesus is coming for us, or we're going to Him. Either way, live ready for that guarantee.

Jesus gives His disciples an overview of the prophetic calendar as far as God's restoration of Israel is concerned. While the information He gives us is concerning, it wasn't intended to make us despair for the future. The more certainty God has about our future, the more certainty we can have that the promises He's made in spite of it will still be kept. 1. Prophecy produces confidence in God's Word. 2. Prophecy provides peace through God's Word. 3. Prophecy gives us perspective through God's Word.
