Three Kinds of People During the End Times - Luke 17:20-37

Jesus describes three kinds of people who will make up His church at the time of the Rapture. Those who are like Noah, Lot, and Lot's wife. Noah had a grace based relationship with God and lived accordingly. Lot also had a grace based relationship with God but lived in spite of it. Lot's wife knew Godly people and Godly things, but ultimately turned back to the world when He tried to save her from its ultimate consequences.

1. The fact the world is looking more and more like how Jesus said it would upon His return should excite us.

2. Live like you could stand before Jesus today. None of us are promised a tomorrow.

3. Grace alone is what saves us. Live in light of it, not in spite of it.

Clearly the Resurrection of Jesus is the most significant evidence for the truth of the Christian faith. So significant and foundational that the Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote to the Church in Corinth that if Jesus was not raised, our gospel is empty, our faith is empty or without any foundation and futile, we are made out to be liars, and are still lost in our sins. We are all the most pitiable. However, before Jesus ever showed up on the scene, God spoke through his prophets predicting what was to take place. 1. Israel has and continues to be the epicenter of God's dealings with man. His faithfulness to them is the same character we can trust to be faithful to us. 1. God has and will continue to keep His promises to Israel. 2. God's promises can be trusted as long as we know them through His Word. 3. God is the only One we can trust to always be our defense.

1. Jew Hatred is an emotional position, not a scriptural or factual one. 2. Israel's actions do not justify the actions of Hamas. 3. The opinions of individual Hebrews and Christians do not speak for the whole of Israel or the Bible. 4. War is not sinful in of itself. It is the God-given responsibility of a government to have and use their military. 5. Amalek, Canaan, and Moab are not appropriate examples or comparisons due to Hamas failing to be given centuries of prophetic warnings in advance.
