Cultivation

Many times, we are unable to articulate how our work participates with God in the cultivation of His creation. The reason for this is that we focus on bearing God's image in the kind of work we do, rather than in the act of work itself. When God's people fulfill the basic and specific work God gives us in Genesis 1 and 2, we participate with Him in the cultivation of creation.

The Resurrection and Work

Sometimes, it is tempting to compartmentalize our faith and work into separate categories of the sacred and secular. The Gospel corrects us, for as far as the curse is found, the Resurrection reaches farther. Throughout this series, the way that the Resurrection affects our work has been a part of each sermon; yet it is important to dwell on this point further, drawing some very practical conclusions. The Resurrection affects our work because the Resurrection changes everything.
