05 - God's Will: Be Grateful

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

December 17, 2017 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann

Ingratitude toward God runs like a scarlet thread throughout Scripture. From a thankless Israel (who muttered against God ten times during the wilderness wanderings) all the way to the ungrateful disciples (who bemoaned that they had given up everything to follow Jesus), the sin of ingratitude is not in short supply in the Bible. As believers, then, we must therefore train ourselves to show thanks, to give thanks, to be filled with thanksgiving. Without being a thankful disciple of Jesus, we won’t be a pleasing disciple to Jesus.

In this sermon series, Pastor Ronald H. Gann not only defines the various aspects of God's will but surveys the Bible to see what God's will is for all Christians today.

01 - The Triplex Will Of God

November 19, 2017 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann

What is God's will for a Christian? How can a believer know for certain what God wants them to do with their life? How can they know which path to choose among a variety of seemingly "good" options? Confusion abounds. "Should I take this new job?" one Christian asks, or "Should I marry this person?" asks another. Believers want to walk in obedience to God's will, yet they struggle at times to know what it is. But is God's will really an enigma wrapped in a puzzle? In this sermon series, Pastor Ronald H. Gann not only defines the various aspects of God's will but surveys the Bible to see what God's will is for all Christians today.

02 - God's Will: Be Good

November 26, 2017 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann

What is God's will for a Christian? God’s will is that His people should live so honorably and blamelessly by being good and doing good that unbelievers will have no legitimate basis for accusation against them. By being good and doing good, as God Himself is good, it should expose the ignorance of those who foolishly make bogus charges against Christianity. When our good conduct as Christians is put on display, it has an uncanny way of shutting the mouths of our critics? In this sermon series, Pastor Ronald H. Gann not only defines the various aspects of God's will but surveys the Bible to see what God's will is for all Christians today.

03 - God's Will: Be Godly

December 3, 2017 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann

There’s more to being a believer than carrying a name. An authentic Christian ought to look and behave like the Christ they serve. The Holy Spirit isn't in our life just to hang out, or to do a miracle for sport, or to entertain us with His supernatural magic tricks. His purpose is to conform us into the image of Christ where we are empowered to walk as Jesus did and behave as he behaved. This is called progressive sanctification or the pursuit of godliness. And it's God's will for all Christians in their daily lives. In this sermon series, Pastor Ronald H. Gann not only defines the various aspects of God's will but surveys the Bible to see what God's will is for all Christians today.
