Good Dirt

April 7, 2024 • Aaron Hixson • Luke 8:4–15

Jesus is the master teacher - his anecdotes, one-liners and sermons have shaped the world we live in (and should shape our hearts as well). For the next few weeks, as we continue in our quest to become more like Jesus, we're stepping out of our attempts to mimic the life of Jesus and we're going to be simply sitting at his feet - no longer mimicking him but being molded by him and his curriculum of life-changing parables. Join me this Sunday as we find out how to have good dirt that produces life-changing fruit.

Do or Die

May 5, 2024 • Aaron Hixson • Luke 13:1–9

Most of the time, when tragedy strikes, we are looking for someone to bring comfort to our heart and answers that will ease our confusion. Why did this happen? Who will be held responsible? Questions like this flood us and threaten to overwhelm. In today's teaching, Jesus surprisingly responds to a moment of tragedy with no answers about the past or comfort for the future - he takes his audience to the school of tragedy and teaches a hard-hitting truth about death and repentance. Join us this weekend as we learn a hard truth for a hard time.

Thoughts Before Sabbatical

April 28, 2024 • Greg St. Cyr • Luke 9:23, Luke 9:57–62

Join us on Sunday as Greg shares his last message with us before heading off on sabbatical until the end of August. We will dive into Luke 9 and Jesus' teaching on the cost of discipleship: denying oneself and surrendering my will, desires, possessions and more to Him so that we can experience the fruit of His blessing and transforming power in our lives. See you Sunday!

A Tale of Two People

April 21, 2024 • Brian Hopper • Luke 18:9–14

You can learn a lot about people by listening to their prayers. Some wake up each morning and pray - "Good morning Lord" while others say "Good Lord its morning!" And more than the words we say when we pray, is the heart behind the prayer. The gospel writer Luke records for us a parable that Jesus taught, highlighting the heart behind the prayer of two very different men. In our series, Anatomy of a Savior, Jesus' curriculum is intended to change us to be more like Him. Join us this Sunday as we learn from Jesus what our prayers reveal about condition and state of hearts.
