This year our sermon series is entitled Gospel Stories: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This morning as we look at Matthew chapter 20, around the middle of the chapter, Jesus tells his disciples for the third time that he was about to die. The difference this time was that he was more specific in the details of how he would die, but also he shared with them that he would rise from the dead.

GROWING IN A CRISIS

In today’s Bible text, Luke the Physician tells us how Jesus grew in four specific categories. It only makes sense that if those categories were good for Jesus to grow in, then they are good for me as well. So in light of the crisis we’ve endured, how might we grow as a young Jesus grew?
